To become legal to do bail recovery in California you must complete the following state required courses:
- Complete required 20-hour Department of Insurance approved pre-licensing course. REGISTER HERE
- Complete required 40-hour Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) PC832 Powers to Arrest course. FIND HERE
Obtain the two completion certificates then you are qualified to be a Bail Recovery Agent or Bounty Hunter.
